The Latin America Clean Energy Coalition (LACEC)

The Latin America Clean Energy Coalition (LACEC) is a regional, multi-stakeholder coalition working to accelerate corporate procurement of clean energy across Latin America.

LACEC brings together corporate clean energy buyers, energy suppliers, financiers, and governments around a shared agenda to improve policy frameworks, strengthen market conditions, and address knowledge gaps that slow the adoption of renewable electricity at scale.

By allowing companies to source clean energy at scale in Latin America, our ambition is to enable companies to source renewable electricity at scale in Latin America, to help build a competitive and decarbonized industry, powered by abundant, affordable clean energy.

What we do

LACEC operates at the intersection of corporate demand, public policy, and market development to accelerate the adoption of clean energy in Latin America. We drive concrete solutions to enable companies to access clean energy at scale, translate demand into clear signals to strengthen regulatory frameworks and investment, and build capabilities to scale best practices across the region.

DRIVE ACCESS TO CLEAN ENERGY AT SCALE

LACEC advances practical solutions to help companies secure reliable, competitive clean energy at scale across Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.
Through working groups that bring together companies, developers, financiers, and governments, it enables viable procurement pathways, facilitates investment in key infrastructure, and helps turn demand into action.

STRENGTHEN PUBLIC-SECTOR RESPONSES AND ENABLING CONDITIONS

LACEC translates corporate demand into clear policy signals, supporting governments in designing regulatory frameworks, aligning energy planning, and mobilizing investment in generation, grids, and storage.

It does so through concrete, evidence-based recommendations developed with key stakeholders at the country level.

EXPAND CAPABILITIES AND SCALE BEST PRACTICES

LACEC builds the capacity of its members to implement clean energy strategies in Latin America, connecting them with practical tools, peer learning, and global best practices.
Leveraging its network and the expertise of its Secretariat, it accelerates the replication of solutions and the growth of the market across the region.
